El Machetazo

This is what some call “the Panamanian version of a U.S. Wal-Mart”.  It is located in The Village shopping center on the Interamericana Highway.  This store is three stories with the first floor having the café, groceries, deli and separate meat counter with a large variety, bakery, pet food, wine, beer and alcohol.  On the second floor, there is a home store, electronics, men and women’s clothing, baby clothing and supplies, kitchen household goods and cleaning supplies, along with a small craft area with fabric, and on the top floor you will find appliances, toys, paint, hardware supplies and more.
