7:30am - Pick up at El Rey
Our first stop will be at the Miraflores Locks Visitor Center to watch the ships transit the Panama Canal from the viewing platforms, learn more about the canal at the museum, and watch a short film about the canal’s history.
2
11:30am - Casco Antiguo
Casco Antiguo. This UNESCO world heritage site is the second site of Panama City and has been revitalized into THE coolest and safest part of the city. Marvel at its spectacular architecture and learn about the history as you walk the newly bricked streets. Learn about artisan crafts and chocolates, Panama hats and more…Here we can also take a short break for lunch (food not included).
3
Amador Causeway
Our last stop is the Amador Causeway. We pass the Frank Gehry BioMuseum and will stop at Punta Culebra, a little nature reserve owned by the Smithsonian. We get a closer look at the U.S. military’s history in Panama (bunkers, quarantine station foundations and railway tracks) as well as great views of the canal and we will most like see a sloth!
